Caffe Sabroso is truly a gem!
You can’t miss the bright yellow house once you arrive, with an interesting looking stair structure in the back! The only downside is that there is no separate parking lot, so you will need to find street parking nearby.

This American Latin coffee house has an artsy atmosphere inside and out, and even hosts arts events occasionally! The interior was very colorful and there were beautiful paintings and murals throughout the space. They kept the house-like structure and divided it up into separate rooms for more privacy and social distancing. The chairs are also very comfy, which makes it the perfect study spot.

They have a beautiful outdoor space with lots of outdoor seating. It seemed like a very family friendly and pet friendly space!

You order in the central space, where there is the kitchen. They have lots of varieties of coffee (Cuban, Columbian, Puerto Rican, Guatemalan) as well as sandwiches, waffles, and flan.

The barista is super friendly and recommended the Caramel Latte. I decided to try both the Cuban and Puerto Rico roasts.

The Cuban roast ($4.29 for medium size) had a rich and deep flavor and a sweet finish. I was also able to substitute almond milk.
The Puerto Rican roast ($4.29 for medium size) had a sweeter flavor and was lighter than the Cuban roast. I liked how there was no cubed ice in the cold coffee, so it did not get watered down over time, although it was still chilled.
I also tried the Cuban Sandwich slider ($2.75), which came with two small Cuban sandwiches with ham, cheese, mustard, and plenty of pickles. The bread had a slightly hard crust on the outside and since it was very thin, there was a good balance of flavors with the fillings inside. It was the perfect size for a small snack, but definitely leaves you wanting more so I will try the full size next time!
